When this
dead ipad problem happens, don’t panic yet. There
are some things that you can still try in order to make your iPad
functioning well again. However, it’s also true that an iPad doesn’t
just go like this for no reason at all. Aside from that, whatever reason
that may be, it might be one of a kind, because an
iPad just don’t die
like this normally, even during its normal freezes and crashes every
once in a while. Whenever this happens, it just means that there’s
something really wrong with it’s system, and that you have to find it
out fast, especially if you just can’t live without your iPad as well as
all the files it have. Don’t worry though, because this post is here to
help you. It doesn’t promise anything, but it’s better than not trying,
right?
Possible Solutions For A Dead iPad
Since we don’t have any choice, let’s
just do a step by step procedure before finally driving down your iPad
to the nearest Apple office. Shall we? of course the first one would be
soft resetting your iPad. This is done by holding the Sleep/Wake button
for a couple of seconds. Nothing is still happening? Then why not try a
hard reset? This is done by holding down both the Sleep/Wake and the
Home buttons at the same time. Hold them donw for a couple of seconds
and see if your iPad is responding in any way. If its still not, leave
your iPad to recharge for 30 minutes to almost an hour. Try out both of
the resets after that. If its still not working, connect the iPad to
your computer and open up iTunes. See if iTunes recognize the device. If
it does, then try backing it up, and restore.
If it’s still not working, let your iPad rest, recharge it again, and try the whole procedure again tomorrow.
On the other hand, if this restore still
doesn’t do the trick, or if your iTunes still doesn’t recognize your
device after all, then there’s only one reason left as to why your iPad
is functioning that way — it’s already a hardware problem. It just means
that you should start looking for your warranty already because all
that’s left for you to do is to let that checked at Apple, and hope for
the best. Aside from that, better get your wallet ready as well.
Meanwhile, if the
dead ipad and does function again, it
would be a big help if you still contact Apple after everything. Ask
them why this happened. The issue could be recorded by your crash log.
Aside from solving the issue, you should also know why it happened in
the first place, so it wouldn’t happen again the next time.
