Want To Import Pics But iPad Crashes? Are you thinking of importing a ton of pictures from your last family gathering, or your last trip to Disney Land, to your
iPad but it
crashes every time you do?
Well,
the
Photos app, being a built-in app is really nifty and it serves the
purpose of displaying, sharing, and cherishing your photos. It has a
good quality, given that it already comes free with your gadget.
Although, you have to admit, it does display a number of crashing issues
every once in a while. One of these issues is crashing when scrolling.
Yes, even if you're just scrolling, if your Photos app already contains a
lot of photos, scrolling could
cause your app to crash and your iPad to
reboot as well. There is another issue that forces the Photos app to
crash while zooming into a photo. This, again, pushes the iPad to reboot
- and a very long reboot at that.
These
import pics but ipad crashes issues still cannot be resolved. As far as we know, there are no
permanent solutions nor explanations that deal with these issues yet.
There is one issue though that we can solve right here. The Photos app
also crashes sometimes, whenever we import pics.
You
have taken a lot of pictures during your last Summer vacation with your
digital camera. Whatever the purpose is, whether you want to transfer
these photos to your iPad so that you could share them on Twitter, or
you just want to transfer them to your iPad for convenience, it doesn't
matter. The issue is just that whenever you do try to transfer a picture
or a group of pictures from a memory card to your iPad, your iPad crashes. Your Photos app reject to read your photos. The iPad refuses to accept your photos into its system.
There
is a solution to this though. Unlike the earlier issues also mentioned,
this issue has a fix. Reboots would probably prove to be ineffective
because the iPad itself already reboots on its own whenever a crash
related to photos happen, right? The fix to this is pretty weird though.
Let's do it.
iPad Crash While importing Photos Fix
The
first thing you may want to do is to change your clock into 24 hours
via Settings. There seems to be no explanation as to how it fixes the
problem, but the important thing is that it works. Now, the next step is
to close your Photos app from your Multitask Bar. You may want to soft
restart your device by holding down the Sleep/Wake button. A slider will
appear saying "Slide to Power Off". Do what it says. Turn it on
again, and check if your Settings are still on a 24 hour setting, and
the Photos app is still turned off. If both of them are, then try
importing your photos now. There shouldn't be any problem anymore.
If
the problem persists, then check out if there are any available updates
for your Photos app. Maybe you missed one, and that could also explain
the problem. For now, you only have this solution to try, unless you may
want to try other photo apps as alternatives?
