The Future of the Internet. The Internet as it is now is undergoing a continuous evolution. From a high-class tool to a household necessity, who knows what more could there be for the Internet? I have just heard of the news of a very massive change in the Internet involving countries not using the Roman alphabet. I believe that in ten years time, people will be able to communicate not only “face-to-face” but also “flesh-to-flesh”. This 3-D hologram
technology may be a cliché in sci-fi movies, but it is still unreal in our world and I believe that Internet could help in a huge way in making this into a reality.
Internet will surely take over what is television now. More and more people are tuning in to
Internet searching anda broadcasts rather than television programs. Television companies, as well as the movie industry, will use innovative technology that will surely involve the Internet. Show’s ratings can definitely be more accurately gauged in real-time through the Internet.
Twitter can be possibly a substitute for cellphones. It’s making waves nowadays and it will be no wonder if everyone someday will be able to have a Twitter account. Google Wave is another substitute for the communication software we use now. It’s fun chat minus deleting errors. It’s like real-life chit-chat just in words. I’m sure everybody would be employing these Internet tools in the future.
I’m also looking forward to the time where everyone could readily use the Internet minus the hassle of having Wi-Fi or DSL. This would be a time where everyone with Internet-enabled gadgets will be able to communicate with others anytime, anywhere, just like cellphone.
One disadvantage that I see though with the
Future of the Internet is too much sharing of information. We see this with social-networking websites. Of course, we don’t have to know what our cousin had for dinner. Internet is also a tool for piracy and high-tech crimes. Hacking may not have emerged if the Internet was not invented
